RUMI & IQBAL’S MODEL FOR PEACEFUL HUMANITY

Humanity today is far from peaceful existence. Stress exists at all levels: internationally between countries, among people and within our inner selves.

Purpose

This blog will explains the brief ingredients of the model proposed by them and the societal change that was resulted in their times. In recent years, substantial advancements have been made, in both metaphysics and the physical sciences, with the result that the gap between the two has closed up. The situation that the world has entered today is such that, the old time’s model of these philosophers has hence once again become valid.

Outcome

Our main target of all our endeavors should be the revival of human empathy, affection and mutual social attraction among humans. For this purpose, an inner belief system needs to be addressed. It is the inner belief system, that dictates our thoughts and actions has. With empathy so developed, humanity can be enabled to solve the problems collectively. There is a strong inner communication system that nature has built. It needs to be strengthened. Nature gives self-corrective messages into our inner selves. We need to listen to the messages. We need to get guidance and strength from them. When dispersed collectively to humanity, the common needs and purposes emerge, and the humanity moves towards collective betterment. This is the spiritual energy that develops among and is to be attenuated and utilized. Activated spiritual energy leads to immense connectivity and strengthens ties among people. Mutual bonding that develops works both for the weak whose survival is ensured, and the strong whose sustainability is ensured. With the above model put to practice, hopefully, we can define a framework towards a brave and happy new humane world. Below are some of the poetic verses with translation from the teachings of Rumi and Iqbal

“بیا بیا که تو جانِ جان، تو جانِ جانی
بیا که بی‌تو جهان چیزی است فانی”

(Biya biya keh tu jaan-e-jaan, tu jaan-e-jaani, Biya keh be-tu jahan cheezi ast fani)
“Come, come for you are the soul of souls, the essence of existence, Without you, this world is nothing but fleeting vanity.”

“از محبت خارها گل می‌شود
از محبت دیو، حور می‌شود”

(Az mohabbat kharha gol mi-shavad, Az mohabbat div, hoor mi-shavad)
“Through love, thorns turn into flowers, Through love, demons transform into angels.”

“این همه جنگ و جدل حاصل کوته‌نظری است
گر نظر پاک کنی، کعبه و بت‌خانه یکی است”

(In hame jang-o-jadal hasil-e-kootah nazari ast, Gar nazar pak koni, Kaaba-o-butkhaana yaki ast)
“All this fighting and conflict is the result of short-sightedness, If you purify your vision, you will see that the Kaaba and the temple are one.”

“یکے است مقصد و مقصود ازیں اختلاف
گر یکے بنگرے ہست نیرنگ و بس”

(Yaki ast maqsad o maqsud az in ikhtilaaf, Gar yaki bingarī, hast nairang o bas)
“There is only one aim behind all these differences, If you look deeply, it’s all but a trick of perception.”
